Turkey Arrests Daesh Suspects in Capital

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Turkish police have arrested eight members of the Daesh (also known as ISIL) terrorist group in Ankara, local media reports said.

Turkish police said the eight Daesh members were planning to carry out a terror attack during new year holidays in the country, Turkey’s Anadolu news agency reported Saturday.

As part of today’s crackdown, the police officers have also seized many ISIL-related documents at the locations where the eight ISIL members stayed, the agency said.

A total of 277 people have been killed in recent separate ISIL terror attacks in Ankara and Istanbul.
