Saudi Air Strike Kills 8 at Wedding in Yemen’s Sa’ada

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – At least eight civilians were killed and six others injured after Saudi warplanes pounded a wedding ceremony in the northwestern mountainous province of Sa'ada.

According to Saba news agency, Saudi jets on Tuesday hit a wedding ceremony in Ghafira area of Dhaher district in Sa’ada, killing and injuring 14 civilians, mostly women and children.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
