Terrorists Suffer Losses in Syria’s Idlib, Hama

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syrian military forces targeted the positions of terrorists in Idlib and Hama in response to their continued breaches of a de-escalation zone agreement in the provinces.

World

Syrian troops pounded the gatherings and equipment of the terrorists in Rajm al-Qett village in Idlib’s southeastern countryside, inflicting major losses on them, SANA reported.

In Hama’s northwestern countryside, the terrorists’ hideouts in Kafr Zeta were also pounded, the report added.

Large groups of the militants were killed and injured during the counterattacks.

The areas where the clashes broke out are located in a planned buffer zone, which surrounds Idlib and also parts of the adjacent provinces of Aleppo and Hama.

Under a deal reached following a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in September, all militants should have withdrawn from the demilitarization zone by October 15.

However, al-Qaeda-linked Takfiri terrorists said they refuse to either leave the buffer zone or hand over their weapons.
