Persepolis Starts New IPL Season with Win
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Defending champion Persepolis football team started the new Iran Professional League (IPL) season with a win against Pars Jonoubi on Thursday.
Mehdi Torabi scored the only goal of the match in the 70th minute.
Furthermore, Saipa came back from 2-0 behind to beat Zob Ahan 3-2 in Isfahan.
Nassaji was held by Gol Gohar 1-1 in Sirjan and Naft Masjed Soleyman and Tractor played out a goalless draw in Masjed Solyman.
On Friday, Machine Sazi will host Esteghlal, Shahr Khodro play Paykan in Tehran and Foolad meet Sanat Naft in Ahvaz.
Shahin Bushehr will play Sepahan on Saturday.
