Syrian Army Discovers Nusra Leader’s Hideout West of Aleppo


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syria’s army discovered one of al-Nusra Front terrorists’ hideouts where the group’s leader known as Abu Mohammad al-Jolani used to lay low from the government forces in Anjara area 15 km west of Aleppo city.

SANA released images of the place where al-Jolani had directed terrorist attacks on Aleppo city and nearby villages, reporting that the army found the place during mop-up operations in the area.

According to the report, the place was a natural fortification and an underground hideout consisting of several operations rooms and living quarters, complete with ventilation, lighting, and multiple entrances and exists.

The operations rooms included blackboards, lighting and communication equipment, and topographic maps. The hideout also contained vehicles that had been used by the leaders of terrorist groups.
