Iranian, Qatar FMs Discuss Ties, Regional Developments


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held talks on a range of issues, including bilateral ties and international developments.

As part of bilateral and regional consultations between Iran and Qatar, Zarif and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, held a videoconference meeting on Monday.

In the talks, the two top diplomats exchanged views about the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest and called for the promotion of mutual cooperation and continuation of consultations.

The two sides also discussed holding the seventh meeting of the Joint Economic Commission. 

Zarif also Iran’s expressed readiness to share its experiences and capabilities to fight against the coronavirus.
