Workers Gather near Trump Hotel in NYC to Protest Racism (+Video)

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Union workers staged a protest gathering around the Trump International Hotel in New York City on Monday, to voice against economic inequality and racism.

The demonstration was part of a “Strike for Black Lives” gathering, as well as demanding President Trump to pass the HEROES Act, a federal bill that is designed to rectify some of the issues left by the passage of the CARES Act in March.

The CARES Act left out undocumented immigrants from the $1,000 stimulus that was promised to American workers and was meant to provide income for those whose jobs were lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to reports, a wide range of actions are expected to take place across the country today, in a bid to have thousands of workers walking off their jobs, calling corporations and politicians to take actions towards allowing all races to succeed.
