IPL Matchweek 3: Naft Masjed Soleyman 0- 0 Persepolis
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team was held to a goalless draw by Naft Masjed Soleyman in Matchweek 3 of the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Thursday.
Persepolis midfielder Siamak Nemati missed a penalty in the first half.
Persepolis started the IPL new season with a goalless draw with Saipa and beat Sanat Naft 1-0 in its next match.
The team sits fifth in the table with five points.
Also on Thursday, Zob Ahan and Paykan played out a 1-1 draw.
Ebrahim Salehi was on target for Paykan in the 33rd minute in Isfahan and Miald Jahani leveled the score just after two minutes.
In Mashhad, Shahr Khodro suffered a late draw against Sanat Naft Abadan.
Me’raj Pourtaghi gave the host the lead in the 82nd minute but Taleb Reykani scored a goal from the penalty spot in the injury time.
Gol Gohar leads the table with seven points, followed by Esteghlal who has six points.
