Iran, Iraq Formulate Roadmap to Joint Cooperation

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian and Iraqi ministers agreed on a roadmap to cooperation between the two neighbors for a 5-year period.

In a webinar held on Saturday, Iranian Minister of Cooperative, Labor, and Welfare Mohammad Shariatmadari and Iraq’s Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Adel Al-Rikabi made the final arrangements for a roadmap to mutual cooperation for five years.

The roadmap will be finalized after the formation of a joint committee.

Elsewhere in the online meeting, the Iranian minister pointed to the good and long-standing relations between the two countries, saying that hostile attempts to sow division will always fail, IRNA reported.

Al-Rikabi expressed hope for the expansion of cooperation between the two friendly and brotherly nations in various fields.

Iraq and Iran have rich economic and human resources, and this can lead to the expansion of cooperation between the two countries, the Iraqi minister said.
