IRGC Blasts Zionist Atrocities, Reaffirms Support for Palestine

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) denounced the Israeli regime for crossing the red lines in a new wave of violence against Palestine, reaffirming its support for the Intifada (uprising) and the Palestinian resistance.

In a statement on Wednesday, the IRGC strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s atrocities and aggression against people of Palestine which it said have crossed international red lines.

It also lauded the brave Palestinian resistance and fighters for inflicting one of the “harshest and most formidable crises” on the Zionist occupiers by firing missiles in retaliatory attacks.

The IRGC reaffirmed commitment to the historical responsibility to support the Islamic resistance and the Palestinian Intifada on the basis of the Islamic Revolution’s goals.

The statement emphasized that the IRGC will fulfill its historical and undeniable duty more powerfully and vigilantly by assuring the heroic Palestinian nation that it will keep supporting them in the struggle against the Zionist regime.

The IRGC also slammed the “terrorist US regime” as the main sponsor of Zionists that has deceived a number of Arab leaders and has become the root cause of the despicable Israeli crimes, warning the White House leaders that the Islamic community’s decisive strategy is to force the American military forces to withdraw from the region.

The pullout of military forces of the US, which claims to be advocating human rights but sponsors cruelty and crimes, will be a harbinger of peace and security for the regional people, the statement added, advising the US officials to stop making the Americans embarrassed and ashamed in the world’s public opinion.

The Israeli regime’s aggression and violations against the Palestinians have witnessed a shocking spike since the beginning of the Muslim holy fasting month of Ramadan.

Since early Ramadan, the Israeli military and illegal settlers have been launching brutal crackdowns on Palestinians throughout the occupied territory of the West Bank. The greatest part of the violence has targeted the holy city of Jerusalem al-Quds, where the military and the settlers have been trying to prevent Palestinians from gathering and performing their religious duties.

The barbarous measures have seen the regime attacking thousands of Palestinian worshippers on the al-Aqsa Mosque’s compound in al-Quds’ Old City.

Also during Ramadan, the Israeli military attacked al-Quds’ neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, trying to force Palestinians into leaving their homes.

The regime has also carried out numerous attacks against the Tel Aviv-blockaded Gaza Strip, whose residents have risen up in solidarity with their fellow Palestinians in al-Quds.

The Palestinian groups have so far fired hundreds of rockets towards the occupied territories, some of which have flown as far as al-Quds itself. The latest stage of the reprisal targeted the cities of Ashkelon and Ashdod to the north of the Gaza Strip, killing two Israelis and injuring more than 90 others.
