Deadly Israeli Raids Continue in Occupied West Bank

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli forces carried out a series of overnight raids in the occupied West Bank, resulting in fatalities and injuries, while the relentless bombardment in the Gaza Strip continues to claim civilian lives.

In the West Bank, the Israeli military conducted a number of raids, resulting in three Palestinian fatalities. The individuals were shot in different locations, underscoring the intensity of the operations. The largest of these raids occurred in Nablus, near the Askar refugee camp, where substantial reinforcements were deployed.

Simultaneously, Israeli forces carried out another operation in Jenin, targeting the city center where a rally in support of Palestinians in Gaza was taking place.

In addition to the three fatalities, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that four Palestinians were injured in a raid at the Balata refugee camp in the eastern part of Nablus. Ahmad Jibril, head of the Palestine Red Crescent Society's ambulance and emergency department in Nablus, confirmed that the injuries occurred during a confrontation in the camp.

The violence in the West Bank escalated further, with reports suggesting at least three more Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces. One of these killings took place in Askar camp in Nablus, while another occurred in Beit Rima, north of Ramallah. The third fatality was reported in Tammoun, within the Tubas governorate. More details are expected to emerge as the situation unfolds.

Witnesses in Jenin reported confrontations between Israeli forces and residents as several neighborhoods of the city were stormed. The situation in the West Bank remains highly volatile, with ongoing Israeli operations throughout the night.

Meanwhile, in the Gaza Strip, Israel's bombardment intensified in the north, near Jabalia refugee camp. This onslaught resulted in the complete destruction of an entire neighborhood and dozens of residential buildings. The indiscriminate strikes have continued, leaving hundreds of residential structures in ruins, without any prior warning in the north and central areas of Gaza.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported a tragic surge in casualties, with the majority being young children and women. With each passing hour, the death toll rises, with over 50 Palestinians losing their lives due to the ongoing Israeli strikes.

As the conflict in the region persists, there are growing concerns about the humanitarian crisis and the need for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further loss of civilian lives and destruction in Gaza. The international community continues to show support for the Palestinians, with hundreds of thousands of demonstrators rallied in cities across Europe and Asia on Saturday.
