Scores Killed or Injured in Israeli Air Strikes across Gaza


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Scores of people, including many children, were killed and injured as Israeli forces conducted another night of relentless air strikes in Gaza.

In the southern city of Rafah, at least 18 people lost their lives in an airstrike on the family home of a certain Abu Shamala, as reported by the Palestinian WAFA news agency.

A second residential building owned by the Hijazi family in Rafah was also struck, resulting in the death of nine people and several others being injured.

In the central Gaza Strip's al-Zawaida area, at least 18 individuals, the majority of them women and children, were killed in an Israeli bombing raid.

Furthermore, at least seven people were killed, and dozens were injured when a residence in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood was bombed.

In the northern part of Gaza Strip, a residential building was targeted, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including a six-year-old child, and wounding nine others.

WAFA suggests that the number of casualties may rise, with several individuals still trapped beneath the rubble of the bombed-out structures.

Also an Israeli air strike was reported in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, where at least seven people were killed and several others injured.

Earlier, WAFA news agency informed of an Israeli air strike on a four-storey building in al-Zaytoun, resulting in fatalities and injuries.

WAFA also reported Israeli bombings in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahiya, and the northwest of Gaza City, with no immediate reports on casualties from those strikes.

Children Among Those Killed in Israeli Attack on House Near Deir el-Balah

According to a medical source, several children were among the 13 people killed in an Israeli attack targeting a house in the al-Zawayda district, located just south of the al-Nuseirat refugee camp near Deir el-Balah.

Additionally, a video clip posted on social media showed the aftermath of an Israeli attack that struck an ambulance and a gas station in northern Gaza.

Another Israeli air strike hit a residential complex in al-Nuseirat refugee camp, resulting in the death of at least 14 people, according to the Palestinian news agency, WAFA.

The victims, from the Maqousi and Bakri families who had sought refuge at the building belonging to the Hamdan family in the al-Dawa district of the camp, were pronounced dead at Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir el-Balah.

Israel has escalated shelling in eastern Gaza City as the death toll in Gaza surpasses 8,306 Palestinians since October 7.

There are reports of tanks attempting to advance deeper into Gaza City, as Israeli forces seek to gain control of the coastal line, although their advance has been met with resistance from Palestinian fighters.

Palestinian groups have said that they anticipated this move and have successfully destroyed several tanks.

For civilians in Gaza City, there is no safe way to leave, as those attempting to head south have been targeted by Israeli forces.
