Ghalenoei Names Iran Squad for 2023 AFC Asian Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran football coach Amir Ghalenoei announced his 27-member team for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, which will be held in Doha, Qatar from January 12 to February 10.
Iran will go into the competition to bring an end to its title drought after about 50 years.
Team Melli has not won the title since 1976.
Iran has been drawn in Group C with the UAE, Palestine and Hong Kong.
