Iran’s Daily Gas Output Capacity Rises by 8MCM: CEO

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The chief executive of the Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) said the country’s daily gas production capacity has increased by eight million cubic meter (MCM).

Pointing to the new 110-km offshore pipeline in the South Pars Gas Field’s phase 16, Hossein Shiva said maximum gas production from the phase has been made possible following the construction of this pipeline.

Speaking at the official inaugural ceremony of the new offshore pipeline at Phase 16 of South Pars, he noted that the nominal daily production capacity of 28 million cubic meters at Phase 16 became possible by increasing the production of 8 million cubic meters of gas per day.

The engineering and design of this project was carried out by domestic engineers at the Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC), he added, SHANA reported.

A new offshore gas pipeline was put into operation at Phase 16 of Iran’s South Pars Gas Field on Tuesday.

Costing €130 million to build, it was put into operation at the order of Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji concurrent with the 45th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
