Iran Approves over $5.5 Billion Foreign Investment for 318 Projects in 2023


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A total of 318 foreign investment projects, valued at more than $5.5 billion, were approved in Iran in 2023 within the framework of the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

Speaking at the 278th session of the Foreign Investment Board more than $450 million in foreign investment was approved in various economic sectors in the fields of industry, medicine, pharmaceutical, foodstuff, building, tourism, road-construction equipment, urban management, agriculture and services.

These projects were considered by investors from various countries including China, Turkey, Iraq, India, Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Russia, Pakistan, and Iranians living abroad in the fields of oil, gas, water, electricity, gas, transportation, communications, services, construction, industry, agriculture and mine, Mehr news agency reported.
