Addressing a cabinet session on Tuesday night, President Ebrahim Raisi said Israel’s airstrike on the diplomatic mission of Iran in Damascus was a testimony to the criminal Zionist regime’s breach of the international norms, regulations and treaties and of the humanitarian and moral principles.
“The perpetrators and sponsors of this major crime will be punished at the hands of the Mujaheds (fighters) of Islam and will get comeuppance for their shameful act,” the president warned.
In a Tuesday message after the martyrdom of Iranian military advisers in the Israeli airstrike, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the Islamic Republic will make the Zionist regime regret this crime.
