In a message on Thursday, Pezeshkian congratulated the leaders and people of the Islamic nations on Eid al-Adha.
He emphasized that Eid al-Adha represents the purest expression of worship, serving as a symbol of sacrifice and submission before the Divine, and a day of pride for Prophet Abraham (PBUH) during his divine test.
President Pezeshkian also expressed hope for greater unity and cohesion among Muslims and the enhancement of the pride of the Islamic Ummah through the blessings of this auspicious occasion.

Eid al-Adha is one of Islam's holiest festivals celebrated annually around the world and an official holiday in Muslim-majority countries.
In the Islamic calendar, Eid al-Adha occurs on the 10th day of the lunar month of Dhu al-Hijjah and is also the third day of the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca.
