One Palestinian was killed and four others wounded in a drone strike targeting Nuseirat, while additional casualties were reported from Israeli shelling in southern Gaza.
“Since the early hours of the morning, we have heard endless explosions. These explosions remind us of the explosive-laden vehicles that Israeli forces have used,” said Al Jazeera correspondent Hind Khoudary, reporting from az-Zawayda in central Gaza.
She added that the regime’s forces continue to demolish vast areas and homes in eastern Gaza, including the districts of al-Zuwayda and Deir el-Balah, beyond the so-called “yellow line” where they had agreed to pull back.
The strike on Nuseirat that killed a Palestinian civilian has intensified fears among residents that new assaults could resume at any moment, despite the declared truce.
Khoudary noted that Palestinians see no real safety, as the regime’s attacks persist in defiance of the ceasefire terms.
