New Sectarian Atrocity by Jolani's Regime Ignites Alawite Fury in Syria.

The victim, identified as Murad Mahraz, was shot dead in Latakia’s Jewish quarter after telling his assailant he was Alawite, according to a video widely circulated on social media.

Supporters of the Jolani regime continued nearby celebrations as Mahraz lay dying.

The Supreme Islamic Alawite Council in Syria reposted the footage and declared, “This terrorist regime could not hide its crimes… Here it is enough for someone to say ‘I am Alawite’ to be killed and write his martyrdom with his blood and last breath.”

In response to the killing, Alawite areas along the coast and in central Syria largely observed a five-day strike called by Sheikh Ghazal, head of the council.

Participation was lower in major cities, with residents citing fear of reprisals.

Separately, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported rising tensions after regime loyalists raised HTS flags and chanted sectarian slogans in Alawite villages in Latakia and Homs provinces.

Meanwhile, Syrian sources said the Jolani administration permitted the opening of the first Jewish synagogue and school in Aleppo’s Al-Jamiliyah district, attended by a rabbinical delegation dispatched from Israel under heavy security.

In southern Syria, Israeli forces shot and wounded three Syrian protesters in Khan Arnabeh, Quneitra countryside, and raided several villages, detaining civilians, local sources said.

Video also emerged showing HTS fighters driving past an Israeli patrol in the south without reaction, fueling accusations of tacit coordination between the Jolani regime and Israeli occupation forces.
