The 31-year-old Gabonese midfielder joined Esteghlal from the Saudi Arabian club Al-Riyadh in August 2024.

He has cited the Esteghlal club's negligence and failure to obtain a work permit and a valid residence permit for legal presence in Iran as the reason for this decision.

Esteghlal is a contender to win the 2025-26 Iran Professional League and Ndong’s absence will be big blow to the team.
