Persepolis Coach Derakhshan Calls for Support from Fans
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Under-pressure Persepolis coach Hamid Derakhshan has called the fans to support his team in the match against Qatar's Lekhwiya.
Persepolis will host the Qatari football club on Tuesday in Group A of the 2015 AFC Champions League.
Derakhshan is under growing pressure from dissatisfied fans after disappointing results in the Iranian football league.
“Our players are well-prepared for this match and we hope that our fans come to the stadium to support us. The players’ self-esteem will be affected by the fans,” he said.
“Persepolis will be different against Lekhwiya. We’ve analyzed the Qatari team and we hope to show a good performance against them,” Persepolis coach added.
