U-15 Football Exchange Program: Iran Defeats Japan

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran beat Japan 2-1 in the "Sport for Tomorrow Japan-Central Asia (U-15) Football Exchange Program” on Thursday.

Mohsen Moazami was on target in the 7th minute and Mehdi Bani Afshar scored in the 59th minute for the Iranian outfit.

Iran has already defeated Afghanistan 1-0 in the tournament.

Iran U-15 football team has been drawn in Group B along with Uzbekistan, Kyoto Sanga FC, Afghanistan and Japan.

Group A consists of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, FC Tokyo, Turkmenistan and JFA Academy Fukushima.

“Sport for Tomorrow” is an international sports contribution program that the Japanese government runs between 2014 and 2020. It is subjected for over 100 nations and 10 million people. Its main purposes are to convey the value of sports and expand the Olympic/Paralympic movement to all the generations.
