US Activists Stage Rally in Solidarity with Yemeni People

WASHINGTON DC (Tasnim) – Dozens of US citizens and activists held a rally in front of the White House on Saturday to protest against the Saudi-led war on Yemen and the US government's support for the aggression, which has killed over 2,500 Yemenis so far.

According to Tasnim dispatches, the demonstrators, including Yemeni Americans, staged the rally to express their solidarity with the defenseless people of Yemen.

Carrying placards that read "Hands Off Yemen", "Aid Not Bombs" and "End Foreign Intervention", the protesters called for an immediate end to the Saudi attacks on the Arabian Peninsula country.

They also chanted slogans in condemnation of the US and the Saud regime and urged them to stop bombing Yemen.

On March 26, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies began to militarily interfere in Yemen's internal affairs by launching deadly air strikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

The attacks have killed nearly 2,600 Yemeni people so far, most of them innocent civilians.
