Fajr Festival Announces Films in World Cinema Section

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The films competing in Salvation Cinema Section (World Cinema) of the 33rd Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) and its jury members were announced.

According to the Public Relations Office of the 33rd FIFF, the final list of films is as follows:

1- Siddharth / Director: Richie Mehta / Canada, India

2- Sharing / Director: Makoto Shinozaki / Japan

3- Golden Kingdom / Director: Brian Perkins / USA

4- Names Unknown / Director: Dr. Biju / India

5- In order of disappearance / Director: Hans Petter Moland / Norway, Sweden

6- Queen of the Mountains / Director: Sadiq SherNiyaz / Kyrgyzstan

7- The Search / Director: Michel Hazanavicius / France, Georgia

8- Snow Pirates / Director: Farunk Hacihafizoglu / Turkey

9- Factory Boss / Director: Wei Zhang / China

10- Bird People / Director: Pascale Ferran / France

11- Forever / Director: Margarita Manda / Greece

12- The Long Goodbye / Director: Farzad Motamen / Iran

13- Sugar-bowl of Dowry, directed be Ali Mollagholipour, from Iran

14- Borderless / Director: AmirHossein Asgari / Iran

The jury members of Salvation Cinema section were also announced. Ann Hui from Hong Kong, Pierre-Henri Deleau from France, Rolf de Heer from Australia, Semih Kaplanuglu from Turkey, Igor Lysenko from Russian, Reza Mirkarimi and Niki Karimi from Iran are the jury members of this section.

The 33rd Fajr International Film Festival will be held from April 25th to May 2nd 2015 in Tehran. This is the first year that the international section of FIFF is held separately from national section.
