3rd Nat'l Laboratory Equipment, Chemicals Expo Opens in Tehran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The 3rd National Laboratory Equipment and Chemicals Exhibition (Iranlabexpo 2015) kicked off in Tehran on Saturday.
Iran's First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri, Vice-President for Science and Technology Affairs Sorena Sattari, and Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mohammad Farhadi attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
Some 300 companies have put on display more than 7,000 laboratory products, epresenting their latest achievements and technologies at the three-day event.
The first edition of the exhibition was held in May 2013, with the aim of supporting the domestic laboratory equipment manufacturers, encouraging universities and research centers to purchase homegrown products, and reducing dependence on imports, according to the exhibition's official website.
Iranlabexpo 2015 is scheduled to run until April 27.
