President Rouhani Congratulates Sierra Leone on National Day
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani on Monday congratulated the nation and government of Sierra Leone on the occasion of the country’s National Day.
In his congratulatory message to Sierra Leone’s President Ernest Bai Koroma, Rouhani wished health and success for government and nation of African country.
Sierra Leone was declared independent by United Kingdom on 27 April 1961.
Sierra Leone is a country in West Africa. It is bordered by Guinea in the north-east, Liberia in the south-east, and the Atlantic Ocean in the south-west.
Last week and in a meeting with the new Senegalese ambassador to Tehran, President Rouhani had expressed Iran's interest in expanding ties with all African countries.
Iran is ready to develop collaborations with all African countries including Senegal, he said.
The Iranian chief executive expressed the hope that the relations between Tehran and African countries would expand at an acceptable pace in the coming years.
