Programs of Contemporary Turkish Cinema in Focus Announced

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The 33rd Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) announced programs and the related workshops of a section to study Turkey's contemporary cinema.

According to the public relations office of the 33rd Fajr International Film Festival, the Contemporary Turkish Cinema in Focus section will start from Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Mellat cinema complex with Turkish cineastes in attendance.

A number of Turkish movies including 'Sivas', 'The Human within Me', 'Snow Pirates', 'Song of My Mother' and 'Until I Lost My Breath' will be screened in Iran Film Museum hall from Monday (27th April 2015) till Friday at 7:30 pm local time.

Two other Turkish movies, 'Breath if the Beloved' and 'Before Sunrise' have already been screened in Iran Film Museum.

One of the programs of this section is “Pure Cinema of East” conference which will be held in VIP hall of Mellat cinema complex on Tuesday from 10 to 12 am and Semih Kaplanoglu, Dervis Zaim, Faruk Hachhafizoglu and Faysal Soysal will attend the conference.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2015 there will be a conference on “History and Culture” in the VIP hall and Dr. Osman Gazil and Ihsan Nurullah Kabil will be present in the conference.

There will be a conference on “Cinema and New and Modern Experiments” on Thursday (April 30). The conference will be held in VIP hall and Fayasal Soysal and Ahmet Gürata will be in the conference.

On Friday the conference on “Co-production of Iran and Turkey” will be held in VIP hall of Mellat cinema complex from 10 to 12 am and Semih Kaplanoglu, Dervis Zaim and Faruk Hachhafizoglu will be present in the conference.
