Iran’s Foolad Records First Win in AFC Champions League

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s Foolad football team recorded its first win of the 2015 AFC Champions League campaign to finish in third place in Group C.

Already-eliminated Foolad beat Lokomotiv Tashkent of Uzbekistan 1-0 in Ahvaz’s Ghadir Stadium.

With one minute remaining, Bahman Jahantigh scored for the Iranian team to end Foolad’s five-match winless slump in this year’s continental competition.

Elsewhere, Al Hilal sealed top spot in the group when Mohammed Kasola’s own goal handed last year’s beaten finalist a 2-1 win at King Fahd International Stadium against Al Sadd.
