Iran Beaten by Qatar in Asian Beach Handball Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran lost to defending champion Qatar in the Asian Beach Handball Championship at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex (SQSC) on Tuesday.
The Iranian team was defeated against powerhouse Qatar 2-0.
Qatar qualified for the World Beach Handball Championship with eight points.
The world championship will be held in Hungary.
Iran will play Bahrain on Thursday, while Vietnam face Pakistan and Qatar meet host Oman.
Iran lost its first match to Pakistan and recorded two victories against Vietnam and Oman.
