Roadside Bomb Kills 2 Civilian, Wounds 3 in Eastern Afghan Province

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - A roadside bomb planted by militants struck a civilian vehicle in Afghanistan's eastern Ghazni province on Wednesday killing two people and injuring three others, said deputy to provincial government Mohammad Ali Ahmadi.

"A civilian car was heading from Deyak district to the provincial capital the Ghazni city when it ran over a mine planted by militants on the road leaving two commuters dead and three others wounded," Ahmadi told Xinhua.

The official, however, blamed the enemies of peace, a term used by Afghan officials against Taliban militants, for organizing the roadside bombing.

Taliban militants are yet to claim responsibility for the attack.
