Iran Made Noticeable Progress in Sports, Sheikh Ahmad says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - President of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah said that Iran has made noticeable progress in sports.
The 66th Executive Board meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has started in Tehran on Thursday under the chairmanship of Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah.
“First of all, I would like to thank the Iranian Olympic Committee for its hospitality in beautiful city Tehran. Today, a total of 45 members of OCA have come here together to decide about progress of Asian countries,” Sheikh Ahmad said.
“Iranian sportsmen and sportswomen have participated in several competitions in the last year and I am hopeful they will compete in the more upcoming events. I think the country has made a noticeable progress in sports,” he added.
Sheikh Ahmad will also meet with the Iran’s Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Mahmoud Goudarzi.
