We Cannot Compare Finland, Czech Republic with US, Iran's Marouf Says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian national volleyball team captain Saeid Marouf said that they cannot compare Finland and the Czech Republic volleyball teams with the US.
Iran played five warm-up matches against Finland and the Czech Republic in preparation for the 2015 FIVB World League.
“In the match against Finland, we identified our strengths and weaknesses and in the two games against the Czech Republic we corrected the mistakes that we did,” Marouf said.
“Without a doubt, we cannot compare these two teams with the US. Winning against the Czech Republic is good for us mentally,” Marouf added.
Team Melli will begin the campaign against the US on May 30 and 31 in Los Angeles.
Iran has been drawn in Pool B along with Olympic champion Russia, 2014 World Champion Poland and World League titleholder the US.
