Iran Water Polo Captain Jafari Bids Farewell to National Team
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran water polo captain Meisam Jafari opted to quit national team after winning 5th FINA World Water Polo Development Trophy on Friday.
The Iranian team beat Uruguay 13-5 in Tehran’s Shiroudi Stadium and won the gold medal.
It was Iran’s second gold medal in the history after claiming the gold in the 1974 Asian Games.
Jafari announced his resignation from the national team just after the competition.
