Iran-G5+1 Deal's Text 90% Ready: Russian Deputy FM
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The text of a deal between Iran and six world powers has been worked out at around 90%, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Thursday.
"I think it is around 90%," Ryabkov told Tass news agency ahead of flying to Vienna for a final round of talks.
"But this concerns the amount of the text, not the importance of the issues," the Russian diplomat said.
The remarks came as the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) continue in Vienna, Austria.
The talks are aimed at hammering out a lasting accord that would end more than a decade of impasse over Tehran's civilian nuclear program.
On April 2, the two sides reached a framework nuclear deal in Lausanne, Switzerland, with both sides committed to push for the final deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), until the end of June.
