President Rouhani Congratulates Malawi on Independence Day
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani congratulated the nation and government of Malawi on the country's Independence Day.
In a Monday message to Malawi's President Peter Mutharika, Rouhani expressed the hope that the ties between Tehran and Lilongwe would expand in all spheres.
He also wished health and success for Mutharika, and happiness and dignity for the nation and government of Malawi.
The Independence Day of Malawi is observed on July 6. It gained independence from Britain in July 1964.
