Sherman: Iran Nuclear Deal Guarantees Peace in Middle East

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman described the conclusion of nuclear talks between Iran and world powers as a “peaceful solution” which can prevent the breakout of another war in the Middle East.

“We view this (nuclear agreement) as a peaceful solution rather than the need to use our blood and treasures to fight another war (in the region),” Sherman said, Daily Progress reported on Friday.

“We have had a lot of experts look this (July 14 nuclear accord) over and we know we can verify that they (Iranians) are complying with the agreement,” Sherman said.

“The joint (comprehensive) plan of action required them (Iranians) to roll back their program and to comply with certain restrictions, and Iran did that,” she added.

“It shows Iran is willing to do what they say they are going to do.”

Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany- also known as P5+1 or E3+3) finalized the text of lasting deal on Tehran’s nuclear program on July 14.
