Iran’s Akhlaghi Bags Bronze Medal in World Wrestling Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Greco-Roman wrestler Habibollah Akhlaghi claimed a bronze medal in the 2015 World Wrestling Championships underway in Las Vegas.
The Iranian wrestler defeated Rami Hietaniemi from Finland 5-1 in 85kg weight category.
Saman Tahmasebi from Azerbaijan also won the bronze medal in the weight class.
Gold medal went to Zhan Beleniuk from Ukraine who beat Uzbekistan’s Rustam Assakalov in the final match.
Earlier, Iran’s Ghasem Rezaei in the 98kg and Yousef Ghaderian in the 80kg had won silver and bronze medals, respectively.
