Iran Routs Malaysia at IWBF Asia-Oceania Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran opened the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) Asia-Oceania Championship with a 94-32 win over Malaysia.
The Championship is being held at the Chiba Port Arena, Japan from October 7 to 18.
Team Melli will play Australia on Sunday.
Iran has been drawn in Group A along with Australia, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Chinese Taipei.
Group B consists of host Japan, China, Afghanistan, South Korea, Thailand and the UAE.
There are twelves men’s teams competing for three spots and three women’s teams competing for one spot to Rio 2016.
