Iran’s Tayyebnia Holds Trade Talks with Italian, Chinese Ministers

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran's Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayyebnia discussed ways to bolster Tehran’s economic relations with Rome and Beijing in separate meetings with his Italian and Chinese counterparts.

The Iranian minister met Italy’s Minister of Economy and Finance Pier Carlo Padoan and China’s Minister of Finance Lou Jiwei on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Peru.

In their meeting, the Iranian and Italian ministers discussed the signing of an economic cooperation agreement between Tehran and Rome, as well as insurance cooperation and Italy’s investment in Iran’s projects.

In the other meeting, Tayyebnia and Jiwei exchanged views on holding Iran-China joint economic cooperation.

The annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund are underway in Lima, the capital of Peru, from October 9 to 11.
