Iran Defeats Russia 3-1 in Friendly Match
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran futsal team defeated Russia 3-1 in a friendly match on Saturday.
In the match held at the Ghadir Hall in Oroumiyeh, northwest of Iran, Hossein Tayyebi (2nd) and Hamid Ahmadi (5th) scored for Iran.
Three minutes later the visiting team pulled a goal back.
In the dying moments of the match Ali Asghar Hassanzadeh found the back of the net to seal a 3-1 victory for the Iranian team.
It was Iran’s first match under guidance of newly-appointed coach Mohammad Nazemosharia
The two teams will play once again on Sunday.
Iran will then travel to Italy on October 22 to play the European team.
