Russian Deputy FM: Framework of Iran Nuclear Deal ‘Balanced’

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov on Tuesday described the framework of the July 14 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers as “stable” and “balanced”.

"The cooperation framework that emerged (from the Iranian nuclear talks) seems to us to be stable and balanced enough, and protected by the compromise decisions," Ryabkov said during a roundtable at the Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian parliament, Sputnik reported.

He added that the deal has almost no weak points and it is hard to undermine it.

On Tuesday, the Iranian parliament passed the details of a plan for the country’s “proportional measures” on the implementation of the text of a recent nuclear agreement (known as JCPOA) finalized by Tehran and world powers in Vienna, Austria.

The details of the plan, known as Iran’s proportional and reciprocal measures in the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was ratified with 161 votes in favor, 59 against and 13 abstentions.

The details were passed after the outlines of the motion were approved by the Iranian parliament members earlier on Sunday.

According to the plan, the Iranian administration will be able to implement the nuclear deal (JCPOA) only if it takes a number of measures in the implementation phase.
