TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Yalda Night, as the longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, is commemorated by Iranians on December 21. It is a social occasion when friends and families gather to meet, talk, eat and read the poetry of the highly respected Iranian poet, Hafez.
