Longest Lunar Eclipse of Century Dazzles Sky-Watchers in Iran’s Persepolis

SHIRAZ (Tasnim) – The 21st century's longest total lunar eclipse was observed in Iran’s Persepolis (Takht-e Jamshid in Persian), the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire (ca. 550–330 BC), located 60 km northeast of the southern city of Shiraz.
