Syria’s National Defense Forces (NDF)

DAMASCUS (Tasnim) – Syria’s "National Defense Forces" (NDF), volunteer forces, was founded by the Syrian government after summer 2012 to alleviate the shortage of soldiers during the foreign-backed war in the Arab country. Syria was gripped by the deadly conflict in March 2011.
