Suicide Car Bombing Hits Damascus' Suburb, Casualties Feared

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - A suicide car bombing rocked a suburb of the Syrian capital of Damascus Monday morning, killing and wounding an undisclosed number of people.

The blast rattled the resort town of Jdaidet al-Shaibani, some 16 km west of Damascus, the report said, without providing further details, Xinhua reported.

However, activists in Shaibani area said in an online post that the suicide bomber targeted a military checkpoint in the area, a scene has witnessed several security incidents and clashes between the rebels and government troops.
