TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A 4-strong team of Iranian lawmakers is scheduled to pay a visit to Algeria in the coming days in order to discuss the regional issues with some high-ranking Algerian politicians.

An Iranian parliamentary delegation, comprised of four members of the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, is due to leave Tehran for Algiers on October 12, Mansour Haqiqatpour, himself a member of the commission, told Tasnim on Saturday.

The Iranian delegation, to be headed by Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi, will pay the official visit to the African country at the invitation of Boroujerdi’s Algerian counterpart.

They are also expected to hold meetings with the president and parliament speaker of Algeria to confer on the regional and international issues, Haqiqatpour said.
