The total weigh of the exported goods in that period was 37.8 million tons and their total value stood at 14.587 billion US dollars.

The top five items in Iran’s non-oil exports were iron ore, urea, methanol, tar, and cement, with liquid propane, film-grade polyethylene, petroleum gas and hydrocarbon liquids coming after them in terms of overall value.

A report issued by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) published on September 16 showed that Iran managed to export close to $18 billion worth of goods and services in the first seven months of 2013, and had trade exchanges with 176 countries.

The report showed that during the seven-month period, Iran had the highest trade surplus with Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Egypt and Pakistan, respectively.

Based on the report, the total value of exports from Iran to the 92 countries with which it had a positive balance of trade reached $8.112 billion in the first seven months of 2013.

According to the report, Iraq, with $3.577 billion, was the biggest importer of Iranian goods and services during the period. Afghanistan, in the second place, imported $1.572 billion worth of goods from Iran, while its exports to Iran only amounted to $2 million.
