Iranian, Russian Presidents Confer on Syria, N. Deal

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation on Thursday, the Kremlin press service reported.

Putin and Rouhani discussed aspects of the development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in various fields and relevant international problems.

Their talks include the situation in Syria in the context of preparations for the Geneva II International Peace Conference on Syria and the implementation of the agreements that have been reached on the Iranian nuclear program, Voice of Russia reported.
