IFF Rejects Media Reports on Queiroz's Deal with South Africa

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Iranian Football Federation (IFF) has denied media reports that Carlos Queiroz has reached an agreement with South Africa football team.

On Sunday, a source close to the South African Football Association (Safa) said Carlos Queiroz will lead the team after the 2014 World Cup.

The Portuguese will start his new job from July 1, according to the source.

“The reports that Carlos Queiroz has reached an agreement with South Africa are completely baseless. These are merely media speculations and are completely incorrect,” IFF made a statement.

Iran is in Group F of the 2014 World Cup along with giant Argentina, Nigeria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
