Lutz Muller to Coach Iran Water Polo Team, Official Says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – German coach Lutz Muller will travel to Iran to negotiate with the Iranian water polo officials to take charge of the team.
Iran water polo has been without a coach since Paolo Malara left the team in December.
“After Malara reached an agreement with the Chinese team, we negotiated with a number of coaches and finally reached an agreement with Lutz Muller. The German is going to come here on February 19 to finalize his deal with us,” president of Iran’s Swimming Federation Mohsen Rezvani told the Tasnim News Agency on Sunday.
“Muller is interested in working in Iran since he has already worked with the Asian teams in particular Middle Eastern teams. We don’t want to waste our money and for this result, we will sign him just for two months and if things go well, we will extend his contract,” Rezvani added.
